Blog Prop Haul

Blog Props

Happy November everyone! Can you believe that we only have two months left of 2016?!

I've been feeling that my blog photos have been lacking. I always envy the photos I see on other blogs. So I decided to use them as inspiration. I started taking note of what I liked and figuring out what elements I wanted to start including in my own photos. I took advantage of the Labour Day long weekend sales and picked up a few bits and pieces. Here is what I got! All prices are in NZD.

Haven Kitchen Confiture Glass Jar - $5.99 on sale for $2.99 from Farmers
Tropical Tin Citronella Candle - $16.99 on sale for $8.49 from Briscoes
Living & Co Cement Tealight Holder - $5.00 from The Warehouse
LED 2m Wire Seed Light String - $9.90 from Iko Iko
Echeveria Succulent - $12.99 from Palmers
Pot with Saucer - $11.99 on sale for $8.39 from Palmers
Corflute Board - $9.40 from Bunnings
3 A5 prints - $10 from Haly Design

I am in love with these prints! I found them at the Saturday underground markets by the Wellington waterfront. I think they are just gorgeous. They're all done by hand. Make sure you check out Haly on Instagram and at her website

The succulent is a bit nerve-racking for me. I now worry that it's going to die (am I overwatering or underwatering?!). The lights are something that I've wanted for so long and I found these really cute ones from Iko Iko. I'm I also really love the bright colours of the candle tin! I'm a sucker for notebooks that have motivational sayings, are pink, or have foiled edges so I couldn't resist this one from Whitcoulls!

You can check out some of the items in my vlog.

What items do you use in your photos? What are you looking to add to your blog prop collection?

  1. LOVE this Hannah! I always think prints are so important when it comes to blog photos. I have a cupboard at home FULL of bits and bobs for blog snaps haha! Lots of lovely wrapping paper from Kikik.K haha! I also love putting plants / flowers etc in all my snaps :) Immy x

  2. I love reading blog prop hauls. It's the best way for me to get inspiration for my blog photos.
And don't worry about succulents. I've owned one for about a year now and I'm still questioning my watering techniques. It's super hard to kill them unless you just drown them in water. Make sure they get lots of sunlight and they will flourish!
